SAIMI is honored to co-host the 2024 commemoration of the Day of the Seafarer alongside the National Department of Transport, the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA), Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) and other stakeholders. This year's theme is "Seafarer’s Contribution to Making the Maritime Sector a Safer Workplace.”

SAIMI, as a coordinator for skills development, capacity building, research, maritime technology, and innovation, will host this celebration in Gqeberha on 25 June 2024.
