The Batumi State Maritime Academy invites researchers and students to participate in an International Research Conference, which will be held on 11-12 July 2024 in Georgia (hybrid). The main theme of the conference is "Seafaring of the Future: Safety First" and is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the 1974 International Convention for Saving Life at Sea (SOLAS 1974).

The topics for the research papers are:

• Safe and economical operation of maritime transport.

• Innovations in maritime transport and education.

• Legal issues in maritime and related fields.

• Protection of marine environment and coastline.

• Logistics of transport processes.

• Maritime business, tourism and trade.

• Maritime sector of the economy.
